These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of gulftourism.ae (the “Platform”), operated by Gulf Tourism (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or making a booking you agree to these Terms.
1. What we do
Gulf Tourism is a trading name of GU LF Tourism Guidance Services L.L.C, a limited liability company licensed by the Department of Economy and Tourism, Dubai (licence no. 1543064), with its registered address at Hor Al Anz, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We sell guided tours and tourism guidance services in the UAE. Tours are delivered on our behalf by independent, licensed local guides (“Guides”) whom we verify, contract and pay. When you book, your contract for the tour is with GU LF Tourism Guidance Services L.L.C.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and make a booking.
- You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity on your account.
- Information you provide must be accurate and kept up to date.
3. Bookings
- A booking is confirmed when you receive a confirmation email. For “request to book” tours, the booking is confirmed only when the Guide accepts it.
- The price shown at checkout is the total price for the tour as described, in UAE dirhams (AED), including any applicable VAT.
- You must follow the Guide’s reasonable instructions during the tour, including safety instructions, and respect local laws and customs.
4. Payments
GU LF Tourism Guidance Services L.L.C is the merchant of record for all bookings. You pay us the full booking price in UAE dirhams (AED) by Visa or Mastercard debit/credit card, and we issue the booking confirmation, tax invoice and payment receipt in our own name. We are responsible for refunds and payment disputes. Guides are paid separately by us, by bank transfer, for the services they deliver on our behalf; you never pay a Guide directly for a booking made on the Platform.
5. Cancellations and refunds
Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
6. Reviews
Reviews must be honest, based on your own completed tour and free of offensive, discriminatory or unlawful content. We may remove reviews that breach these rules.
7. Guides
Guides are independent professionals and are responsible for holding valid licences, permits and insurance required to provide their tours, and for the accuracy of their listings. Additional terms for Guides are set out in the Guide Terms.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by UAE law, our total liability for any booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the Platform, including by attempting to book or pay outside the Platform to avoid fees, harvesting data, interfering with security or posting unlawful content.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force at the time of your booking applies to that booking.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai.
12. Payment and card information
- We accept payments online using Visa and Mastercard credit/debit cards in AED.
- Refunds will be done only through the original mode of payment.
- The cardholder must retain a copy of transaction records and the Platform’s policies and rules.
- Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account.
- We will not trade with or provide any services to OFAC- and UN-sanctioned countries or persons.
- Customers who are minors (under 18) may not register as users or make bookings.
- The United Arab Emirates is our country of domicile.
