From sign-up to first booking

    Takes about a minute. Just your name, email and mobile.

  2. Build your profile

    Add a photo, a short bio, your languages and the places you know best.

  3. Verify your licence

    Upload your Emirates ID, a selfie and your tour guide licence. Stored privately.

  4. Get approved

    Our team reviews your application, usually within 2 working days.

  5. Publish tours

    Set price, start times and group size — and start taking bookings.

Guide FAQ

Do I need a tour guide licence?

Yes. Every guide on Gulf Tourism must hold a valid UAE tour guide licence from the tourism authority of the Emirate where they guide (for example DET in Dubai or DCT in Abu Dhabi). We check it before your profile goes live and track the expiry date.

What does it cost to join?

Joining is free. There is no monthly fee. We only take a 15% commission on bookings you complete — it covers payments, marketing and customer support.

How and when do I get paid?

Travellers pay online when they book. Your earnings become available 3 days after the tour is completed, and you can withdraw to your UAE bank account (IBAN) from your dashboard.

How long does approval take?

Usually within 2 working days after you upload your documents. We will email you as soon as a decision is made, and tell you exactly what to fix if anything is missing.

Can I choose when I work?

Completely. You set your weekly start times, block days off, and choose between instant booking or approving each request yourself.

What happens if a guest cancels?

Free cancellation applies up to 48 hours before the tour. Late cancellations are not refunded, so your time is protected.
